Jaime Anderson moved from Houston to Nacogdoches in 1996 to study art at Stephen F. Austin State University. She immediately fell in love with the town and decided to stay, even before meeting her future husband, Jay. Jaime and Jay have been married for 21 years and have a daughter, June, plus their cats Cletis, Quinn and Reggie, and a rescue turtle named Cota. Jaime has 21 years of experience in property management, leasing, and bookkeeping for family-owned residential and commercial properties. Jaime enjoys being active in local organizations and believes volunteering shows a commitment to the community. She is a board member for the Nacogdoches Crime Stoppers and NHS Dragonette Boosters. She has also served on boards for Nacogdoches Junior Forum (past President), Keep Nacogdoches Beautiful, Dean's Circle, and Federation Of Women's Clubs (past First Vice President). She's a member of Christ Episcopal Church and volunteers with Nacogdoches ISD. Jaime and Jay co-own Nacogdoches Architectural Restorations, LLC, which was originally formed to renovate the Old Mize Factory. She and Jay love to give back to the community by restoring and renovating old homes. Their first project was lovingly restoring an original Dietrich Rulfs home. Jaime also loves spending time outdoors and going on road trips with family and friends.
