Born on a tobacco farm in Kentucky, raised in Copley, Ohio, schooled at Ohio University, graduated with High Honors with a business degree and Honors in English, Gay Roach married in Athens, Ohio, to Bruce Roach and via Jefferson City and St. Louis, Missouri, Bethalto, Illinois, San Angelo and Bryan, Texas, finally settled down in Nacogdoches in 1968 with then Dr. Bruce Roach and three children, Velicia, Chris, and Eric. She received her real estate license in October, 1979, and her Broker's license in January, 1980, and since then has been a successful real estate broker with several firms in Nacogdoches before settling down in 1996 with Charles Pool Real Estate, Inc. Gay acts primarily as a listing specialist, but also enjoys working with Buyers at any phase of their home-buying experience. Gay has been actively and continuously involved in the Nacogdoches County Board of REALTORS®, serving as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Director, in addition to service as a member or chair of many important committees. She was elected REALTOR® of the Year in 1983, and has been a consistent top producer of real estate sales in Nacogdoches County. The pause that refreshes for Gay is her involvement in Duplicate Bridge, where she has reached the rank of Sapphire Life Master.
